Plan on applying to design, maybe double major (something in social sciences?) if the workload isn't too bad (I guess I'd graduate in 5 years instead).

-Superscore: I think 2230
-SAT II: 800 Bio (plan on taking Math II and/or US Hist)
-GPA: about 3.8
-Weighted: about 4.1
-Rank: school doesn't rank, but I'd estimate anywhere from 60th to 80th percentile
-Jr Year: H Precalc, H Eng, US Hist, Orch 3, AP Chinese, AP Chem, AP Stats
-Sr Year: Calc BC, AP Eng, Gov/Econ, Orch 4, AP Human Geo, AP Studio Art (also plan on taking AP US Gov, maybe Macro/Micro)

EC:
-Natl Art Honor Society member, publicity officer
-LEO member, publicity officer
-Track JV, Varsity next year?
-Graphic design work for local business
-Volunteering: book drive with homeless shelter, founded recycling/campus beautification program at elementary school, taught music/orchestra to elementary students, played cello in pit orchestra of youth acting company
-CMU Summer Programs for Diversity '12 (the free one)

Hopefully enough info to make a general conclusion. Also, would cello/auditioning be a selling point? I'm not amazing or anything but can at least crank out a decent concerto.

tl;dr Does someone with decent (?) academics (my high school has completely ruined my perception of what good/bad academics are), decent SATs, basic ECs, decent APs (I'm expecting at least 4's, probably 5's), pretty good essays, and I guess a decent portfolio have a chance or should I just cry myself to sleep jk that's what I do anyway oops.
