Only 2 B's through 5 years of math
Taking ap physics and so stats senior year

First gen to attend college

Do you think applying to an engineering major affects my chances?</p>

<p>The fact that you are a fit with your gpa and test scores combined with the fact that your are URM and first gen and in the local admissions area, I would be shocked if you weren’t admitted.</p>

<p>Engineering shouldn’t make much difference, especially since your application will not really be admitted based off of your engineering interest but more so by your URM and first gen hooks which are your most unique attributes.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the admissions rate is 80%. That is a 4/5 chance out of EVERYONE who applies. You will get in. I wouldn’t even worry about this at all.</p>

<p>Minority status has no place in admission to a CA public university. Racial preference is actually illegal here.</p>
