My brother is graduating from Duke this year also
I would apply ED too, I’m thinking pre-law, pre-med, sciences, or engineering idk yet

i also forgot to mention I volunteered at a research lab over the summer

I worked in a lab at Duke for almost two months over the summer, and I’m getting a rec letter from my lab director. Does Duke have any preference towards this?

Your chances look pretty good, especially if you’re applying ED. I’d just have at least 2 subject tests with a score of 750 or above. But since you’re submitting the ACT w/ writing, they’re entirely supplemental anyway. Good luck!

bump

Definitely apply ED. Your brother’s matriculation will help your application as well. Make sure to note this on the supplement. In addition to having your lab director write a recommendation, sometimes reaching out via voicemail/phone to the admissions office might help. Good luck

Make sure to focus on essays that specifically target Duke! It will come down to subjective factors for you.
