Work Experience:

I work in the accounting department at the corporate office of my company. I enter transactions into Accounts Payable and keep track of inventory / current pricing. I also assist with payroll, store orders, end of the week closeouts, bill paying, accounts receivable, etc. Furthermore, I have managed our cut fruit department, working with and supervising workers of mixed ethnic backgrounds, most of them non-English speakers. I meet daily with the CEO, CFO, HR Director, and others to discuss and help implement new ideas and help shape company policy.

Essays:

I discussed my work experience as stated above and then discussed my desire to someday work in the field of intelligence collection (cia, etc) The big point I made was how I plan to apply my international business skills and Arabic classes from GW to the collection of intelligence in order to shape U.S. foreign and domestic policy as well as keeping the citizens of America safe. I also talked about how I plan to make contacts in the DC area in order to gain a summer CIA internship and make contacts for future employment.

very good, getting into gwu for students outside of the mid-atlantic and northeast regions is fairly easy. from the same state and had similar stats, but applied to Elliot, and got in. don't expect to much financial aid though!

I don't need the financial aid I just need to get in

weak SAT/GPA but on par with GW sadly...id say most likely admit. if you apply ED I or II you are in for sure.

yeah I applied ED I

anyone else care to weigh in on this?

I'm betting deferred- they will have a huge applicant pool this year.

I'm taking AP Gov / Econ / Poli, Accounting 1, Social Psych, Finance & Banking, and Honors English 4 this year and I have a 3.8 GPA...if I get deferred you think those classes / scores will be enough to get me over the hump? Also, if you get deferred, do you get put into the ED II group or RD?
