weaknesses= WRITING! I'm definitely more of a math/ science person. So I'm worried about those darn essays..

I have a much lower stat than you
but I just got in as EA applicant (should be a bit more competetive than regular pool)
So I'd say ur in or smthing
though ur essays and recommendations will mean ALOT

^Seriously, I think I'm the only EA kid who hasn't gotten his letter. (They clearly hate New England...)
Luckypuppy, it sounds like we have a lot in common. Public school, Solid SATs, (700V, 720 W, 780 M), solid class rank, Solid SAT 2's, about the same number of APs, worked since I turned 16, NHS, Student Council, a sport, other ECs, and much better math/science than writing. In fact, the thing that worries me the most is my supplemental essay- my sister hogged the computer all week leading up to 11/1, so I had to write it last minute- no proofreading, no revisions. Very scary. But all my teachers seem really confident I'll get in, and this is coming from people who I've seen openly telling kids to not get their hopes up about certain schools and all that. So if my chances are good, yours must be, too.

Let me know if you get in. (Hopefully I'll find out sometime this year.)

CH4 Yah, i mean I can write a coherent essay without grammar problems. Just not very "unique" of an essay. And my teacher writes really good rec letters and he liked me :] CONGRATS on getting in!!

colinization: No, no! My friend has yet to get hers too, she's under the impression it will be here Monday. Yah, i'm feeling kinda confident about it, but its one of those things you can never be QUITE sure about! I hate it!! Especially after looking at the Stanford board and seeing ALL those qualified people get rejected. eek. Goodluck to you :]

hey colinization, you aren't the only ea kid to not get a letter yet. i'm in washington DYING because everyone else seems to have heard and i haven't!

colinization- no I am not applying to Rice. Although I do live in a suburb of Houston and only 30 minutes away.. My dad really wanted me to apply there, but it's too small for my taste. AMAZING school and beautiful location though. Are you looking there?

i think you're set. i also had lower stats than you, and i was accepted EA yesterday. just spend extra time on those essays and make sure you get recs from your close teachers. good luck!
