<p>Honestly, your stats are going to kill you. Is there something within your application to explain the scores…i.e. just moved to the states as a sophomore, a medical condition that gives you an IEP at school?</p>
<p>As it has been said many times NY and NJ are incredibly competitive, most of the acceptances from those areas have at least a 4.0 W and SATs in the 1200 out of 1600 or over 2100 out of 2400 range.</p>
<p>Remember UMDCP is ranked number 18 in the nation for public universities. Decades gone by UMDCP was viewed as a safety for most students, it isn’t anymore.</p>

<p>your chances are pretty low imo since maryland has lots of great IS students. since it’s such a large university, i doubt your recs can compensate for your lackluster grades/test scores.</p>
