chancellor scholarship + med program

wecandothis:
Yeah, it's kind of a BS/MD program. You don't have to complete an additional application. You simply have to apply to Pitt School of Arts and Sciences and designate your major as pre-med or bioengineering. If you have a 1450+ SAT (or 33 ACT) and a 4.0 (weighted or unweighted) GPA or rank in the top 1% of your graduating class, you will qualify. If you qualify, you will receive additional information and will have to have an interview. They take approximately 5 students per year, and I'm pretty sure that a couple hundred students qualify, so actually getting a spot in the program is pretty difficult. Though if you are selected, you must complete an undergraduate degree at Pitt within four years, complete the prerequisite coursework, maintain a science and quality point average of at least 3.7, and engage in extracurricular activities that pertain to medicine/science. Oh yeah, and you don't have to take the MCAT.
