Chancellors Scholarship - How Holisitc?

Hey, everyone. I was admitted to the CoE (I know this already hurts me - haha) and was also invited to apply for the Chancellor's Scholarship. Would anyone be willing to share their experience and how holistic the selection process is?

I do not want this to be a chance me thread because I know I (along with all other applicants) have the qualifying stats that got me invited to apply: 4.0 gpa, 35 ACT, 800 and 760 subject tests, 16/291 rank. I was just wondering if this numerical information is basically disregarded during the process, because even though I go to a competitive school, I can see my rank being a problem if it is a big factor.

Otherwise, I think the rest of my app makes a strong case. I have well-rounded activities with a lot of leadership and feel that, if I am lucky enough to be interviewed, I can elaborate on what I wish to accomplish beyond an engineering degree.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Congratulations on your invitation! Honestly, I have no idea how they select finalists and actual recipients for competitive scholarships like this because I feel like everyone has nearly the same resume. Although really high stats obviously stand out, I think it must be pretty hard to differentiate yourself until the interview process. The problem is getting there.
