Chancellor's Scholarship

Can anyone tell me what the complete reward offers are? I got the message that I received it from UC Riverside and it was $2,500 per year. Is that all I'm getting, or are there more awards in addition to the money, such as free housing?
I'm just wondering because I also got the Undergraduate Dean's Award from UC Santa Cruz of $20,000 with 2 years free housing.

Thanks!

I guess Chancellor scholarship has changed. When I received it for fall 2010, it was given as $5000 for one year. As for housing, no. The benefit offered by the chancellor scholarship for my year was 1) early orientation, so you go a week before everyone, 2) priority registration for 1 year, VERY important. Other money that you get on top of that is only financial aid or any other scholarship assuming you have one.

Money wise, I would choose UCSC if i am in your shoes, BUT there are other things to consider. If the scholarship at UCSC doesn’t give you priority registration, then I would take the Chancellor scholarship, because getting all the classes you need is difficult now due to budget cuts, and freshmen are usually register at the end of the registration period.

Oh okay! Thank you so much, I’ll check into the UCSC scholarship as well  but from what I’m seeing, I’d rather go for the UCSC scholarship. Thanks again!
