well if you have done something significant after your deferral, then you have an ok shot...if not then i doubt it.

Haha, then I suppose I don't stand a chance, having done very little...........

yeah you have to have done something. my ad counselor called and asked why i got deffered and they said it was cause of my math SAT score so I took them all over again....good times! but if you did change something then being a deffered candidate gives you a slight boost.

I sent them a kind of supplemental essay with added pictures that I hoped would boost their idea of my extracurricular involvement. That's pretty much it, though.

Mention that you'll definitely go there if accepted. That's good if you're deferred to the waitlist.

Got me in. Best of luck, and relax.

But what if you don't know if you will go or not if accepted because you don't have any financial aid info. Can you still say you will go if accepted?

just say it...I m not sure either but I still send an email saying so because it slightly increases your chance...so you should, although it s kind of to late now.

i would tihnk brown does not worry about yield and who will actually matriculate as much as most other schools so i dont see why would they would care if you say its your first choice. that would probably matter more at the match schools where students who get into brown apply

florette, what was your original math score?

original..as i said awful: got a 580. but then retook it and got better so all good. what did u get dyx?
