Hi, I am a white female from California. My stats have dropped a lot in the past few years so I am not very sure as to how high I should be reaching. I would just like to know if I am overreaching with some of the colleges I am applying to, and if I should maybe include some more safes. Chances too please. Thank you.

Colleges
Brown(ed)
Columbia
JHU
UC:Berkley, San Diego, Davis
Syracuse
U of Chicago
Rose-Hulman
MIT
Caltech
Yale
Stanford

You’re a great student.
Brown, Columbia, JHU, U of Chicago, MIT, Caltech, Yale, and Stanford are reaches. Like always. Your amazing essay may make them low-reaches.
UCs are matches.
Syracuse: low match/safety
Rose-Hulman: low match/ safety

Thank you so much makes me feel a lot better about applying. Do you think I am applying to too many schools? Also, would ED to JHU give me a better chance than ED to Brown?

Yes JHU has over a 30% ED acceptance rate the last time I checked, while Brown is only at 18%. But there are many benefits to going to Brown, so it’s all up to you. You applied to a reasonable amount of schools, better safe than sorry. Make sure you have some safeties.

Syracuse: Safety
JHU: High match
Berkeley: Match
UCSD: Low match
UCD: Safety
Rose-Hulman: Safety
Yale: Reach
Caltech: Reach
Stanford: Reach
Columbia: Reach
Brown: Reach
MIT: Reach
U Chicago: Reach (pay attention to your essays)

Thank you very much for replying. Just some advice on applying ED JHU or Brown because the way I see it there’s two scenarios.

Apply ED Brown
get rejected brow
get rejected JHU
end up going to a safety

Apply ED JHU
maybe get accepted JHU
get rejected Brown

Any advice? I’m just feeling really down about my chances and don’t know if it’s more important to take a chance on my dream school or go the more realistic direction.
Thank You so much in advance

Bump. Please Help.

If you ED-ed at JHU then JHU will be brought to a match…
