Hey guys. I'm posting because I remember reading on here that it's more beneficial to apply to PSU in August/September because they have rolling admissions, right? Well my problem is that I can't afford to apply in those months because quite frankly, I pooped the bed with my SAT's. Should I retake October/November and then send in my app? How much would my chances of being accepted decrease from sending in my app in November compared to late August? I know I don't have a great chance at this school, but I want to try anyway because I visited the campus and I like it a lot. So here are my stats:

Okay I have the same problem, decent grades yet alright SATS. I am not sending my first score and I will send in my application without them, then later on I will take my ACTS/ SATS in Sept/ October and write on my application that I am taking them in Sept/ October and they will not count me out until they have my scores. It is beneficial to get your app in asap but your grades can be sent separately. The app going in early is the most essential part.

so will that work? Should I send in my app early in late August without listing any SAT scores? Would I have better chances sending it in August than in November? And also, would they blow me off if i sent in an app with no SATs? Sorry I'm a noob at this whole app thing

They won't look at your application if it is incomplete. I don't see the point in sending one in if it's incomplete. They'll probably put it off to the side and might forget about it. I highly doubt that you'd have a better chance. I think your chances would be the same either way you do it.

Well as of right now I have a 24 on my ACT so there is something there but I will make a note on my application that I am taking it again in September and October. My application isn't incomplete, it can just be better. Anyway, if es222 didn't take any standardized tests than I understand what your saying.

If you are willing to start in the summer it will increase your chances. There's a place on the app to show summer start. You can take a few classes in the summer and get used to the campus - I Know a few students that did that because their stats were a little too low for regular admission. It's worth a shot anyway. Good luck.
