I am currently a Jr. in TN and have no idea what to do next

Please Help!

UW GPA - 3.8
ACT - 29 (Will take at least 2 more)
English - 26
Math - 31
Reading - 26
Science - 32

Currently took 11 Honors and plan to take 5 AP's

EC (Very weak because of my family's situation)
- Choir (Middle School - 11th)
Section Leader (10th)
- Beta Club (10th)
- Skills USA (10th)
* I plan to join many clubs in Sr. year

Volunteer Work
- None so far (/sigh)
* Whenever I get my Driver's License, I want to volunteer in Animal Shelters 2-4 hr per week

the List of my top colleges
#1 U of Washington
#2 U of Wisconsin
Ga. Tech
#3 U of Illinois
#4 Rochester Institute of Technology
#5 Va. Tech
* Major : Computer Science

My Concerns :
1) My EC and Volunteer Work is too low. If I start participating them in Sr. year, wouldn't it look too "obvious"? I hope "Better Late than Never" is right
2) Is my ACT too low for those colleges? since I will be OOS Student.

Thank you in advance :D

P.S.
- Can you explain what "Reach/Match/Safe" and "High/Low"?
- I will also apply for Financial Aid (Does it hurt my chances? if I have any)

i dont see why u wont get into all of them to be honest, maybe boost some ec’s and leadership, but Ga Tech seems sorta reachish but you should be fine. make sure u explain ur family situation though. RIT will get u lots of aid i bet

You will be an automatic admit for every school listed on your page. If you score a “32” or above I would add Cornell to the list. Class rank? Also consider: Reed College, Williams, Pomona, University of Michigan? Are you from an economically disadvantaged situation, if so, you have more than a fighting chance at more selective colleges. A “29” is a competitve score on the ACT.

Yes, I am very much in need of financial aid.
My EFC should be below thousand, if not zero.
So, more than likely, I’ll ask for the maximum amount of financial aid.

And I am also a foreign-born immigrant (Permanent Resident).

More than a fighting chance? I don’t think I understand that phrase, sorry :(

hi, all. i’, sorry i can’t help chiyoske, but i have a question of my own… how do i start my own thread?! yes, i’ve been on forums before, and am a member of a few, but how do i start aa thread here? i couldnt have started my own thread to ask this, so i just asked here. thanks.

Dual Degree Programs
Reed has affiliated with a number of cooperating institutions to offer students an opportunity to graduate with degrees from both institutions. These programs generally require a fifth year of study, with three years at Reed and two years at the participating institution, and lead to either a second undergraduate degree or a master’s degree in the selected field. These programs expand the range of options available to students who seek advanced or technical work in a specialized field while pursuing Reed’s undergraduate liberal arts program. There are currently four established dual degree programs at Reed.

Computer science
This five-year program leads to a bachelor of arts degree from Reed, and a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Washington in five years. Admission to the program is limited to five students per year, based on the recommendation of Reed College.
