I know my extracurricular are sub par. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances other than retaking SAT/ACT (which I plan on to do)? Also I heard that Wake will start a new biomedical engineering program. Will intending to major in that program help my chances?

Also, I’m giving an interview at Wake in July. Any insight into what the interview is like?
Thanks.

arif451, You are on the right track. Again no one can tell you if you will get in to Wake. We can only give guide posts. Remember Wake is test optional, so check some sites to see what scores and GPAs accepted students are submitting. You can then decide wether you are going to retest and then are you going to submit your scores. Interviews are very important in Wake’s admission process and you are doing that. That is a very good thing. Work on Wake’s app questions. Wake has more questions then most colleges and your answers are important. Keep your grades up or get them higher (avoid a senior slump).

Wake’s interview, according to my daughter was very nice. Her interview was more of a “meet and greet”. You should have 1 or 2 questions to ask about Wake. Wake wants to attract students that are interested in coming to Wake.

Good luck and go Deacs.
