Chances at Wake or UNC Chapel Hill?

Reside in North Carolina
Just finished 11th grade
Weighted GPA:4.54
Unweighted GPA: Around 3.7
Rank: 17 out of 139 (Mid-year), expect to be in the top 10% when updated as I got all A’s last semester
ACT: 27
SAT: 1310(new), 600 reading/writing, 710 math
Taken AP Calculus AB, 2 Engineering Classes which are weighted as AP classes, rest of the classes are honors
Race: Asian(Indian)

Extracurricular/Clubs:
Health Occupations Students of America
Soccer
Economics Challenge (State Finalist)
Volunteer Occasionally at local elementary school and library

I know my extracurricular are sub par. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances other than retaking SAT/ACT (which I plan on to do)?

You seem to perform a little better on the SAT than the ACT; you might think about a test preparation course before taking the SAT (or ACT) again. Your SAT scores in combination with your GPA likely will make you competitive for Wake Forest; I cannot offer an opinion about your chances at UNC as an in-state student.

What are you interested in studying? If engineering or other STEM subjects, perhaps you should consider NCSU.

I do plan on considering NCSU however I will have better financial aid at Wake and UNC as my parents employer(Wake Forest) will help with tuition if I go there.
