i’m gonna be a junior in hs next year and i was wondering if i could ask:

how good is your pre-dental program,

what are my chances of getting in right now, and

what should i do to improve my chances at getting in (besides at improving my grades)

my school doesn’t rank, but if i had to guess, i’d say about 30-35is/250ish (15%)

-i’ve been volunteering at a local hospital in the kitchen for the past two years, with about 150+ service hours

my school is one of the best in the state. as a reference point, last year, everybody that applied to Villanova w/ at least a 92 average got in.

misc. stuff, i don’t know if this really counts towards anyting:
-nominated for the national society of high school scholars
-invited to many leadership programs, including LeadAmerica, National Student Leadership Conference, and Congressional Student Leadership Conference

next year, i’m going to continue all of my ec’s, and also going to join another service program and hopefully join crew team. Also, if my parents let me, i’m going to get a part time job during the school year. plus, i will leave the job at the hospital to join the local ems for a more hands-on experience.

also, my brother got accepted here in 2006, and we have similar grades, but he didn’t do particularly awesome on his SATs

be completely honest. no sugar-coating criticism

RELAX!!!!! Stop obsessing. You have a LONG two year process ahead of you and if you obsess now, you will be a frenetic neurotic crazy rabbit mess by December of Senior year.

Work really hard this year. Prepare for the SAT's. Take them twice if you have to, or thrice if need be.

Fordham is getting harder to get into. And it recently received a HOT SCHOOL ranking in Newsweek/Kaplan list.

But relax your mind on this stuff, work hard in school, and take the SAT's and consider all your options in fall of Senior year.
