i’m gonna be a junior in hs next year and i was wondering if i could ask:

how good is your pre-dental program,

what are my chances of getting in right now, and

what should i do to improve my chances at getting in (besides at improving my grades)

-i’ve been volunteering at a local hospital in the kitchen for the past two years, with about 150+ service hours

my school is one of the best in the state. as a reference point, last year, everybody that applied to Villanova w/ at least a 92 average got in.

misc. stuff, i don’t know if this really counts towards anyting:
-nominated for the national society of high school scholars
-invited to many leadership programs, including LeadAmerica, National Student Leadership Conference, and Congressional Student Leadership Conference (never actually attended any one of these)

next year, i’m going to continue all of my ec’s, and also going to join another service program and hopefully join crew team. Also, if my parents let me, i’m going to get a part time job during the school year. plus, i will leave the job at the hospital to join the local ems for a more hands-on experience.

feel free to be as critical as possible.

c'mon people. you don't have to answer all the questions. any kind of answer would be helpful

Check that out, its their combined dental program with penn. It's extremely competitive as penn is arguably one of the best dental programs in the nation. Your going to have to get ur gpa up (which you said urself), and get the Sat at least above a 1320 to have a good shot. If you have the chance, try to do something along the lines of a job shadow at a local dentist. Even working as a receptionist, you can probably write a good essay showing your interest in dentistry.
