I know these threads get redundant, but I'm not holding anyone accountable for their accuracy. I just want to know if UChicago would consider me as a serious candidate. I'm absolutely in love with the school. I visited this past summer and loved the atmosphere and overall feel of it. My family is also moving out to Chicago from New Jersey next summer, so that's all the more motivation for me to go to UChig.

I was also wondering if anyone could offer me some tips on writing the essays. I'm slightly confused as to how to approach the questions. Should I seek to write a more professional essay or can I be casual in my language?

Additional Info: I'm and American-born Bengali from a public school in New Jersey and I'll be applying as a physics major.
