Chances? And when will I find out?

In past years applicants have initially found out about acceptances in a variety of ways including UD Portal announcement, emails, and even snail mail. There does not seem to be any consistent, reliable rhyme/reason or pattern, although it would be my perspective that a significant percentage, if not the majority, found out first by the portal change. UD Admissions will tell you the only “official” notification is by snail mail. Several years ago there was a major computer snafu in the portal system and a number of applicants initially received the “Congratulations” message on their portal that was not correct. This problem was identified and corrected rapidly by UD and I have not heard of any similar problem since then. Good luck to all applicants.

My daughter just saw someone had posted they’d gotten in so she checked. Did not get an email. Same thing for Miami University - Ohio. They are letting some EA applicants know well in advance of their stated Feb 1st date.

Uriman- that’s true, umass and UD are similar reputation wise but of course UD is double the cost. If I get admitted to UD it will be a pretty hard decision since umass is such a good value but UD has been my top choice since I first saw it. Do you know if the UD business school is as competitive as isenberg?

Hi everyone! I was hoping you would be able to chance me? UDel is my top choice and one of the only schools I haven’t heard from. I was already admitted to UMass (Hospitality Management), Alabama (Marketing), West Virginia (Marketing), Ole Miss (Marketing) and Johnson and Wales (Marketing). I am applying to UDel as 1st choice Marketing and 2nd choice Hospitality Studies.
