Chances anyone?

OK, so I pretty much convinced myself I wouldn’t do one of these, but you know how that inevitably works out. Basically, I’m thinking of applying to schools like so here goes:

Schools I’m thinking about:
NYU
UVA
UMichigan
UChicago
Northwestern
UPenn
Wesleyan (Both parents went there)
Johns Hopkins
Cornell

GPA rank (not positive, school transcript wont be ready until later this week)
UW: idk, around 3.8 maybe 3.9, could be 3.7 for all I know but I doubt it (ive gotten pretty much staight As, a couple 88s I think, but that’s it for Bs, hopefully balanced out by several A+s
W: 4.63 ish
Rank: once again, I don’t know. Last I checked it was 4 out of 320, but a friend said he was 4 in may, so I have no idea now

SAT:
Highest Single Sitting: 2200
CR: 770
M:680
W: 750 w/12 essay

Combined: 2220
CR:770
M:700
W: 750 w/ 12 essay

Pwned by math twice now, heres to hoping the math II subject test doesn’t do the same thing

SAT IIs: taking this fall
Chemistry
Biology M
Math II
(world history)*
(US)*
(hell, even French maybe)*

*I’d take these late as a supplement, December maybe, too late for EA/ED but maybe in time for RD

AP Exams: took 2 AP classes, 2 exams APUSH and AP Eng Lang, both 5s

8th Grade Classes (count for HS credit, don’t know if it counts for GPA)
Honors Algebra I
French I

Freshman Schedule:
Honors General Science
Honors English 9
Graphic Communications (photoshop, illustrator, flash, etc)
Gym
French II
Honors Global Studies
Honors Geometry

Sophomore Schedule:
French III
Gym/Health
Honors Algebra II
Honors Western European History
Honors Biology
Honors English 10

Junior Schedule:
Honors Precalc
Marketing Principles
APUSH
AP Language
French IV Honors
Honors Chemistry

Senior Schedule:
AP Physics
UConn Bio (school doesn’t offer AP, pretty much a standard college biology class at UConn standards, probably will take AP Bio Exam)
AP Calc AB
AP Lit
Honors Civics
ECE French V Honors (college-level French class, don’t know if its similar to AP or not)

ECs, Awards, and stuff:

NMS- High Scorer, so far, probably will end up commended (only got a 205)

11th Grade- Harvard Prize Book

CT Science Fair- honorable mention 9th Grade
National History Day- Individual Documentary in 9th Grade, 2nd place at both regionals and states, competed in Maryland at the nationals

Chemistry Olympiad- one of only 4 people in our grade selected to do it, we had taken the intro chem. Class pretty much, not AP. Needless to say, we got destroyed, but I think our group came in 2nd at states for our lower category (I did really enjoy it, I think, so I always could like self study and do it again this year, maybe move on. If I got the right books, yeah, cause this year me and a friend got equal scores which were 1 off the highest of someone who had taken AP)

DECA: 11th and Hopefully 12th grades, business club. If I can do it senior year I’d run for an officer position. At the CT CDC, won 2nd place in PMK division, earned a trip for the Internationals in Orlando, but couldn’t go b/c I had baseball

XC: 9-12 Grade (Varsity 10,11,12)

A LOT of baseball related stuff:
HS Baseball (JV 9,10. Varsity 11,12) won best defensive player award, as voted by the team 11th grade
-helped run clinics for local youth baseball programs, 9,10,11,12
-camp counselor at a summer baseball camp, paid, ~20 hours a week, 2 weeks total, 10,11,12
-helped build dugouts at our school when we didn’t have any
-volunteer to deliver ice at our large local fair to vendors to raise money for baseball program

-Summer Baseball Team, CT Capitals, 9, 10, 11. This is my major summer activity for these years. Large time commitment, team ran from June after HS season to the middle of August, probably 2 weeks before school.
So far this year:
Have won one tournament
2nd place at a tournament in Cape Cod
semi finals in recent tournament in LI
( played in national tournaments in Myrtle Beach, SC and Richmond, VA)

Other Stuff: Maybe tutoring summer baseball teammate in chem And stuff senior year. IDk, could tutor other kids, I’ve got a study hall as of now 6th period.

Im open to suggestions, I can either fill that up with tutoring and stuff, or find another class, your advice might help.

Hopefully volunteering at a hospital this coming year, a lot more fair volunteering etc.
Maybe NHS, I don’t know, they rejected me this past year, and a kid who was 3rd in the class, but who knows about this year.

Any other suggestions of stuff I could do, and if I have a shot at these schools, and perhaps even other suggestions of schools I could apply to? Location of school doesnt matter to me.

bump…?

You will definitley get in to the schools on your list, especially wesleyan since your a legacy.Your award and extra-curricular are amazing. Just work really hard on your essay. GOOD LUCK!

if any of you have like suggestions or other stuff about schools I could look at, that’d be pretty chill

right now majors/interests are mainly in either an economics or political science degree w/maybe a minor in finance or a foreign language

either that or i would look at something in the sciences

your parents are ted mosby and lily aldrin?

hell yeah, bro, howd you know?

edit: make that a 3.85~3.9 GPA, its weighted at 4.72 now, rank: 4/299

Hey, I haven’t bumped this in a bit, let’s see what’s good

i still think my HIMYM joke was pretty clever/funny

yeah, well, I guess I never watch that show, I just like NPH from harold and kumar
