Chances...

Alright, I'm doing it, I'm posting a chances thread.

Schools I will apply to:
Harvard (EA)
Yale
Cornell
UPenn
Columbia
Stanford
Berkeley
UCSC (Safety)

Eighth Grade (Courses on HS transcript):
French 1: A+
Math 1 Honors: A+
Earth Science Honors: A+

Freshman Year:
French 2 Honors: A
Math 2 Honors: A+
Combined Global Studies (Harder than honors): A
Combined English: A
Biology Honors: A+
Band: A+

Sophomore:
French 3 Honors: A
Math 3 Honors: A+
Combined Global Studies 2 (Again, harder than honors and required): A+
Combined English: A+
Chemistry Honors: A+

Junior:
Condensed to not to take up space - French 4 Honors, PreCalc BC (Again, harder than honors), English Honors, AP US History, AP Chemistry, Band - All A+

Senior Year:
AP Stats (I'm really good at French, I just hate it, so I'm taking Stats instead)
AP Lit
AP Physics C
AP Calc BC
Econ/Government (Required to graduate)

Tests:
SAT II Bio M - 770, SAT II Chem - 790, SAT II Math IIC - 770 (I could retake it and get an 800, but it's not worth it, the first time our proctor screwed us, long story)
SAT I Old - Math 790, Verbal 680
SAT I New - Math 770, Writing 750, Verbal 710

I'm thinking of retaking the new SAT I not because I'm unhappy with my score, but just because I know I can do better.

EC's:
-Varsity Track 10,11,12
-XC 10,11,12 (Not good enough at either Track or XC to run in college)
-Band since 4th grade
-Grade level Site-Based Council rep, elected since 6th grade
-Cornell summer college
-National merit semifinalist/finalist (projected, based on last year's cutoffs)
-Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do
-Working at Cornell this summer
-Work at a local radio station (no pay, so it might be considered as voluteering)

Extra fact: Both parents and both brothers went to Harvard.

I think everywhere's pretty much a crapshoot for me, but I should get into Cornell (they accept something like 60% of kids from my HS) and UCSC.

Oh yeah, our class doesn't rank, but I'm in the top decile.

And in all honesty, I could care less where I go to school.

Edit: Oh yeah, I did really well on some national French contests and won some awards, but I hate French, so I'm not taking it next year.

u have a much better than average shot since ur a double legacy at harvard. i think about 25% of ppl at harvard are legacies, and ur test scores and class rank match up nicely. go for harvard, EA is a good idea

with those stats and double legacy your pretty much in at harvard. it thats where u want to go, apply ED since ur chances will be even higher. You have a fair chance at all the others, just as good as any decent applicant

you can never be pretty much in at harvard...I think your ECs are a bit light, but double legacy should help ;)

in the ivy leagues, they weigh the academics more than the ECs, but iwantfood does have a point which i'm gonna develop: the ECs sometimes, maybe a lot of the times, will be the thing to push you over the top and in
