Chances as BME major

I'm turning to a senior, and I want to major in BME (biomedical engineering).

I'm an asian, and I go to a relatively small school in New Jersery (only about 100 kids per grade).

My GPAs of freshman, sophomore, and junior years are all over 4.

My SAT scores are around 1920 - 2120. I'm gonna take it again in august.

Math: 790 - 800
Reading: 550 -650
Writing: 650 - 710

SAT subject scores:

Math IIc : 800
Chemistry : 760

AP

Biology : 5
U.S. History : 3

(taking AP chem, AP calc, and AP English this year)

I did participate in a lot of clubs and afterschool activities as well as some summer camps for health science and engineering programs.

Some of schools that I'm considering are Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Boston University, and Carnegie Mellon.

Cosidering that I wrote a fairly good application essay and got over 2200 on my SAT:

What are my chances of getting in colleges I mentioned above?

Which college should I choose for Early Decision?

Any other Eastern colleges with good BME program that I'm likely to get in?

What do u think of BME major? (including salaries, working condition, etc.)

Feel free to answer any of the questions above.

Thank you

I forgot to mention that my class rank is 1 or 2 out of 100

ECs
National Honor Society
Italian National Honor Society
Student Council - 3 years
Science League - 3 years
Mu Alpha Theta (Math Club) [won AMC 10 in my sophomore year] - 3 years
Environmental Club - 2 years
Tennis team - 4 years

Volunteered in local hospital (about 100 hours)

Medium chances at the first two, good to great at the latter 2

your choice  i would go with Hopkins

no clue

Pretty good overall. Just keep that college GPA up once you get there.

Basing off u getting a 2200,

Cornell: Avg Chances considering ur Asian. If u dont get above 2200, Im really not liking ur chances. prob 20%

JHU: Slightly higher than Cornell but once again, without a solid SAT, not liking it 25%

Idk much about the other 2 but defiintely better than the two above

To be honest, I dont see ur EC’s really standing out so ur gonna have to write some great essays

JHU - Great BME program

3.don’t know

Great career ahead of u :)

Good chances, hopkins/ mellon being the toughest, but they love ED candidates. If you wanted to ED id do hopkins if you are sure u want to be a BME major

Thank you :)
