Hey you guys how is everything. I have a quick question I was wondering if you could help me out. I am currently a biochemistry major at UCLA and I have done well in all of my upper division biochemistry classes. My general chemistry classes are all A’s, My Physics classes are all A’s, (but physics 6A first attempt was a D). My Calculus classes are two C’s and one A. Overall my other general education classes such as (anthropology, philosophy, etc) are a mix of A’s B’s and C’s most of them being A’s,but a couple of C’s im talking about out of 40 classes like 9 C’s. Now when it comes to my biochem classes such as 153A, 153B, and etc. all of these upper division courses are A’s. My LS 1,2,3 are B,B,C+. The thing I am most scared about is Genetics. I received a C- in genetics and I never retook the class. My overall GPA is a 3.4, and my major GPA is a 4.0, and my LD science GPA is a 3.2. I want to apply to graduate school for specifically biochemistry and I was wondering what are my chances of getting into graduate school especially with this C- in genetics. I know the C- will prevent me from going to medical school, but will it prevent me from graduate school to. I have heard that sometime if a class has nothing to do with you area of study that its OK. Genetics and Biochemistry are not really that connected. What are my chances.
Also My Organic Chemistry is B,B, and a C for chem 30c
