i learned a lot this year about what i want from a college and i think i can put that into a pretty good transfer essay.

i want to be a psych major and take business classes (if possible) and plan to go to grad school for i-o psych.

full list:
amherst, brandeis, brown (a reach, ik, but is there any chance?) gettysburg, northwestern, smith, vassar, wellesley
any ideas for safeties?

trying to do a midyear transfer if possible - i know some of the above schools don't offer midyear transfers.

amherst as in Umass amherst? As in the state school? I think you’ll be good for most of those schools.

amherst as in amherst college.

You may want to review the course catalog for those schools. Many of not most LACs don’t offer business courses. By the numbers, you are certainly in the demographic for those schools. You may also want to check on their transfer acceptance rates to get a better idea of your chances. The Transfer Book lists some rates and I believe College Board (check the website by college) has more complete data. Good luck!

thank you!
and yes, i’m aware that most small LACs don’t have business classes. gettysburg does, and i can take classes from babson if i get into wellesley. business is my secondary interest; it’s not a dealbreaker if the school doesn’t have those opportunities.

anyone else? :)
