transfer to amherst, gettysburg, wellesley

<p>i just finished my freshman year at my current university.</p>

<p>HIGH SCHOOL
GPA: 3.84
ACT: 36
SAT: 2260
ECs: theatre for four years
AP exams: psych, bio, US history, all 5s. took other APs but didn't take exams (physics-mechanics, english, calc)
OTHER: worked part-time since i was 16</p>

<p>COLLEGE (major university)
GPA: 3.87
COURSES: the obligatory freshman writing course, italian, a literature course, honors bio, chem, calculus
ECs: struggling to find a club i like that meets often; restaurant club & NOW so far
OTHER: work part-time in my dorm
prof recs should be pretty strong.</p>

<p>i learned a lot this year about what i want from a college and i think i can put that into a pretty good transfer essay.</p>

<p>i want to be a psych major and take business classes (if possible) and plan to go to grad school for i-o psych.</p>

any ideas for safeties?</p>

<p>trying to do a midyear transfer if possible - i know some of the above schools don't offer midyear transfers.</p>

<p>as i’m sure you know, transferring to small LACs is really competitive. you look like a good candidate though.</p>
