Chances at Andover, Groton, Concord Academy and Middlesex

This trimester I have
Social Studies: A
English: A+
Science: A+
Latin (worst subject): B+
Math Honors: A- (2nd in class)
87 on the SSAT
99 in Reading
95 Math
84 Verbal
Taking it Again

Do you have any EC’s?

If that’s all you have to say then you have no shot.

Thats a pretty bad Verbal Score…
and a B+ is not good on your application

What is it that makes you special? What will you bring to one of those campuses?

I think the point the others are trying to get to is that at all of the schools you listed, your grades/scores will not distinguish you, as solid as you are academically.
Your grades are fine. And your scores at this point will “put you in the mix”

Good luck.

I agree with the other posters, good ssat scores alone won’t get you in. Last year I score 97% overall on the ssat, and even with EC’s (ice hockey, basketball, lacrosse, numerous honors bands, service clubs, etc.) I got rejected from Andover. I did get in to Groton though.

@kikithefish,
Your SSAT score is fine. Schools care more about reading and math than they do about the verbal section. And an 84% isn’t bad.
