chances at any ivy; not just harvard

I would like to know my chances at getting into Harvard or any other Ivy since Harvard is probably the toughest school to get into in America. Here is my high school bio. My school is one of the top five schools in the state of ohio. I am a junior in high school.

Asian American

GPA: 4.058
Class Rank: 1 out of 234
A.P. classes this year: A.P. Chem, A.P. European History, and A.P. Drawing
E.C.: Academic Challenge, Chess club, Track, science Olympiad, NHS, Ohio Math League, and possibly later Jets Team if accepted
Volunteer at hospital and trying to shoot for 150 hours by end of year
leader of religious group
Have three class awards for highest grade in class
SAT: Have not taken it yet. Would like to know in what range for the new SAT
SAT II: Same for SAT
PSAT: Not as good i would have like to have had. Made stupid mistakes in getting a 194. Could've easily gotten a 215.
Been to states for science olympiad

What is your take on these things and do you think I have a chance in getting in or should i do more. I will be taking the a.p. exams in may and possibly the sat II chemistry also . What would I also on these SAT and SAT II tests. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Could have gotten a 215 means nothing. Lose this mindset when you take the new SAT. Luckily for you, however, PSAT scores do not count for anything other than National Merit. You will need a 2250 or higher on the new SAT and your SAT IIs must be really solid. Sorry, but Harvard is a big reach. Look at Dartmouth and Cornell. You need matches and safeties, too. Williams is a great school. Or maybe W&M.

Make sure not to include that "could have gotten... easily" thing, seriously atleast be like I think I was capable of better. We all think that... and as stated above you'll need solid SAT I and SAT II scores for any ivy.. just study.

Actually, I think you have a decent chance at some of the Ivies, because PSATs don't tell you anything important. My score report last year said that I was most likely going to get a 1420 on my SAT I, but could range 1350-1480. I got a 1580, and I didn't study beyond whatever vocab they made us do in English class at school. Look at Dartmouth, Cornell, and Penn; they're probably going to be good matches by next year. Harvard isn't impossible either; a guy from my school whose stats aren't so different from yours got in EA. Just hold onto that rank!!!

I personally don't see a hook in you that stands out from any of the many other applicants to the Ivies.

Instead I would try to answer why I would like to go to an Ivy, and if the only exuse that keeps coming up is the name, then I recommend looking into other schools that meet your personal needs.

"A.P. Drawing"

Is this the actual name for the class or is it just some abbreviate name for like Art History or something? Sounds really informal.

where them hooks at boy?

The hook is his mad drawing abilities. He made a 5 and so he can skip freshmen doodle class. Seriously though man, no hook = not good.

Write a superbly advanced essay and get superb recs. That is what you should depend on right now, since you can't change most of the stuff you've already done.
