Chances at ANY UC! :D

SAT: 1850 first time (CR 510, W 630, M 740) but it should be a 1900+ after this retake!

SAT2: Math2C 740, BioM 580 ><

GPA: Around 3.5W but it's an improvement. I had a 3.8W last semester, and should be 4.2W this semester.

Rank: Top 25%

Essays are told to be both written very well.

Extracurriculars:
- Flute: I was in a Symphony for 4 years, no school band though, winner of a international competition (various judges from professors of Julliard!), winner of a state competition, state honor band, numerous awards, winner of several scholarships, member of prestigious masterclasses in this area, experience with professional pianist accompanists, teachers are ALL professional, summer classes at a flute institute for several years, ABRSM theory testing, and I will be sending in CD supplements to some UC's that said it was okay.

Junior Statesmen of America

Chances? Berkeley, LA, SD, Irvine, Davis, SB, SC, and Merced

Your GPA is holding you back.

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: reach
UCSD: reach
UCSB/UCI/UCD: slight reach
UCSC: match
UCM: safe match

Mm, anyone else?
Oh yeah, I go to a large public high school...around 700+ seniors.

Kyledavid80's words are god.

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: reach
UCSD: reach

Probably in at everything else.

Hm, no chance at UCSD AT ALL?

Bump bump again

3.5 WEIGHTED? What's your unweighted GPA?

Very low, around a 3.2. :/
I was VERY lazy my sophomore year.

if you want to increase your chances significantly get above 2050 on SAT

UCB: Reach
UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Reach
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Slight reach
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Match

UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkeley are out of the question. All have UC Weighted GPA's for average admits of well above a 4.0. Your SAT's are also over a hundred points below UCSD's average admit, 150 below UCLA's average admit, and almost 200 points below UC Berkeley's average admit. Your GPA is way below their averages and your SAT's are well below their averages. Even with an extremely high SAT these schools would be out of your reach. Focus on mid-tier UC's (UCI/UCSB/UCD) and lower-tier UC's (UCSC/UCR/UCM).

Here is a link to their average admit stats which will give you a better idea of your odds. Best of luck!
