Also my mom passed away from breast cancer, and that's sort of been my inspiration towards the medical field. I'm planning on using this in my BS/MD program application essay after i'm accepted into the undergrad. school.

If you are talking about Baylor^2 (Baylor/Baylor) your chances are almost zero. Your SAT scores and GPA are both very low for Baylor/Baylor, also there are only 4 spots for it. Basically no chance.

If you are talking about Rice/Baylor, your chances are a little better, but still almost zero. Hell, just Rice itself as an undergraduate without the medical program is a pretty far reach for you.

But I think you should apply, just to see. Have a plan B though.

Oh wow okay. I thought that the Rice/Baylor program was more difficult? and well I’ve already been accepted to baylor for biology so i guess that’s one of my back-up plans lol.

Yeah, dude, those BS/MD programs are overrated. They’re insanely competitive, especially the ones that you’re wanting to try for. Just do your premed, take the MCAT, and get into a good medical school.

Alright thanks! Does the prowess of the college you choose affect your chances of getting into Med school? Or is it strictly GPA and mcat?
