Chances at Bowdoin, Emory, UGA, Sewanee, Vandy

Hello, I am a junior (soon to be senior) high school male attending a non-parochial private school in Georgia (not Atlanta). I plan on applying at Bowdoin, Emory, Vandy, UGA, and Sewanee: University of the South, and I would appreciate CC's analysis of my chances at the aforementioned schools, especially from those who applied and were accepted. This is my info:

ACT: 30 composite
SAT: 1970
GPA: 4.3 weighted and around a 3.6 unweighted

Course load: Hardest possible, I will graduate with 11 AP classes (APWH, APEH, APBIO, APELaC, APFR, APES, APCALC, APSTATS, APELiC, APUSH, and APUSP) along with various honors classes (to be clear I never took APEH as a class I just like history and took the exam I think I did real well)

Academic recognition: NHS member, headmasters list, various departmental awards e.g. This year French, APUSH, and APEL&C

ECs: 4 years Football (3 year starter), 4 years Wrestling (team Captain 10th and 11th grade), 4 years soccer (2 year starter)
SGA vice president 11th and 9th grade rep (I plan on running for president next fall) helped coordinate school dances, fundraisers, and a Easter egg hunt for the children
Mock trial lead lawyer 11th and 12th
active in my church missions to Bahamas, poor side of hometown (gas was expensive that year), and choctaw reservation MS,
regional youth leadership league as part of this we ran a service project for food bank, Bank Advisory Board member, maybe more I can't think of

Intended plans: I want to major history for certain, but I can't decide whether I want to pursue an advanced degree in history to teach at a postsecondary level, or go pre-med.
FYI. In history I would like to specialize in European history with a subspecialty in 19th century Germany, Byzantine history, or European imperialism

If any more information is needed just ask, and I greatly appreciate any help.
Note: I can't remember if Ive asked this before and if this is a repost I'm terribly sorry

I’m not whining just confused. How has only 1 person (Me) viewed this? Similar threads after this have something like 20-60 views. Is there something wrong with the formatting of the question or the question itself? Possibly its the CC website, but I don’t know that. Regardless maybe a self-post will make help a little (make people more likely to notice that). I really hope this doesn’t sound whinny (if its a bad post its a bad post I wouldn’t respond either), but it just doesn’t make sense to me.

Bowdoin- Doubt it
Emory- Low reach
Vanderbilt- Reach
UGA- Definately in
Sewanee- Match

I would look at Rhodes college as well if you want to go to a smaller, good school in the South. That would be a nice match for you as well.

Just some clarification, when you say low reach that’s implying greater chance than just a reach, correct? btw I have a legacy at Emory

@Gallen73

Yeah, low reach implies a greater chance of you getting in than high reach does. I dunno why that guy thinks that Emory is easier to get into than Bowdoin or Vandy, though. I don’t have the #s, but Emory is absolutely in the neighborhood with those two in terms of test scores and % admitted.
