hey guys so today i found out that this other girl at my school also wants to go to brown. Im a junior this year and would love to go to brown. However, i know for sure that she has a better gpa than I do. Thats because i took some electives that i regret taking… So basically i was wondering if you could tell me if my chances at brown are decreased significantly because she has a higher gpa than i do. Also, I go to a small private school in the midwest that doesn’t send many to brown. Is there a possibility that either both of us/me would both be accepted?

okay, I completely understand why you would be worried. Don’t be. GPA is ONE factor of the application pool. Last year, Our valedictorian got rejected but the person ranked 15/300 got in. There’s too many factors to be taken in consideration. Don’t let this crush your dreams!!

okay good thats relieving. lol
however theres another problem: we have very similar ecs and classes, although we do have some different ecs.

She’s more interested in forensics stuff and im more interested in science/medical stuff

Write some killer essays and do some last minute ecs, like ~events or something. Good luck!

Don’t worry about other people applying to the same school. Focus on making your application great, not on whether there are other great applications.
