brown university - Impossible Reach
boston university - Safe Match
vanderbilt -Big Reach
emory - Big Reach
georgia tech - Match
new york university - Reach

I think you should add a couple schools between NYU and Gtech in selectivity as matches. Your biggest issue is you aren't top 10%, which makes a place like brown almost impossible given your ECs and SAT.

ok. thank you very much for your help. my high school does this thing where if u have over a 4.0 gpa weighted (which i qualify for), you can put #1 as your class rank. will that help. and if you can, can you please tell me what makes vandy and emory such a reach. thank you soo much.

If you put your rank as valedictorian on your apps instead of listing top 15%, you have a much better chance at Brown. It is still a huge, huge reach, though.
