Extracurriculars include JV XC and still team, 4 years of concert and marching band ( lead euphonium and section leader junior and senior years), work as a door to door advertiser for a painting company, major leadership position in my church youth group including volunteering as a student leader at a camp for freshman and sophomores, 200 or so hours of community service including 3 mission trips to Mexico to build houses for families, as well as lots of local service work through church.
Both my common app and supplemental essays are excellent, and have been reviewed by professionals. LOR’s should also be great, particularly my counselor letter.
Also attended the open house on October 15th, which was stated on the website as extremely beneficial for early applicants.

After being deferred, I sent an email to the admissions office expressing continued interest in SCU, which they said they made a note of. I also submitted a third letter of rec from my AP calc teacher (I got an A fairly easily so it should be good. My first semester GPA was a 3.83 UW and 4.33 W, which is the highest it has ever been in my hardest course load to date.

Hi @willa99 it really depends on if you showed that you had jesuit values and if the admissions officers see you as a good fit at SCU. The business school is more competitive to get into, but I think you can get in, you have a strong application. I applied to SCU for RD and I’m hoping to get in. Best of luck to you!!
