Hi, I'm actually new to this so bare with me...

I am a senior at a Community College in Va. Tidewater Comm College. I am generally an AB student whose GPA was 3.45, HOWEVER I was hit hard with family problems and my grades suffered, and I ended up with two C's and one D. My gpa went to a 2.86 unfortunately . Well I have to take an extra semester anyway to take some classes and can't graduate until December 2013. I am better off this semester and upcoming semester because my family problems have resolved. It was serious enough to where I felt like I needed counseling.

Anyway, I feel like I am back to my old self and feel like I will no doubt bring back up my GPA. but with that semester that I got those Cs and D, do I still have a slight chance in getting in CAlState Long Beach? the program I was looking into is Bachelors of Arts in Social Work Program. I'm pretty sure the GPA requirement is something like a 2.3-2.7. I however plan to work hard enough to try to bring my GPA back up to at least a 3.0.

ALSO~

there are a couple classes I need to take for that program but I have taken all of them except one. Intro to Cultural Anthropology. I have had a hard time finding that class in VA and even my comm college doesn't have it. If I take that class online through one of the community colleges in California, could I still be qualified if I didn't take it with my associates degree with Tidewater ?

And I don't plan to go until Spring 2014 of Fall 2014.

Sorry if this all sounds confusing.
