Well first off, hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. I've just started to learn the rules and guidelines.

So anyways, I'm an orange county resident who attended orange coast college for 4 years and in the process of completing my 5th year at saddleback community college. Which means I have priority in terms of locality since long beach is like that. I am an art major (I want to eventually apply for the BFA in Fine Arts) and my current gpa is a 2.96. I was aiming to raise it with the 3 classes I was taking this semester, but one of the teachers lost several of my pieces before grading them at midterms and so I had no choice but to drop it. I was fine with receiving a W for this, but as it turns out, I never successfully withdrew from the course since I am not too familiar with the saddleback site (arggg!) and I will get an F on my transcript. I'm taking the course again next semester to replace the grade. I was wondering how Long beach will look at this. Since I thought I dropped the course with a W, I put that down on my application. Will I have a chance to correct this? And will receiving an F automatically turn me down from acceptance?
