Chances at Columbia Early Decision

Here are my stats:

GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 4.2 weighted (5.0 scale)

ACT: 34 (34 Eng, 34 Math, 31 Reading, 36 Sciecne, 8 Writing)

SAT: 1930 (fml) (600 CR, 700 Math, 630 Writing, 7 Essay)
^^ idk what was wrong with me that day, I've been taking previously administered tests and have been averaging around a 2230. I am taking it again in October.

PSAT: 219. National Merit Semifinalist.

Subject Tests: Yet to take in June, taking Math I, Chemistry, US History. From practice tests, I'll get 750+ on all of them.

8 AP Classes by Graduation:
AP Human Geography (9th grade)
AP U.S. History (10th)
AP Macroeconomics (11th)
AP Microeconomics (11th)
AP Chemistry (11th)
AP English Language (11th)
AP English Literature (12th)
AP European History (12th)
AP Government (12th)

Weak Point: Math. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY good at Math. I am at the top of my class in every single math class I have taken, but I am not in advanced math like most of my peers because I came from a worse school district in 7th grade where their advanced math was this districts regular math (although college admissions won't recognize this...). My senior math class will be Honors Pre-Calculus. I asked my teacher to put me in Honors Precalc instead of regular, but most of my peers are taking AP Calc AB/BC.

^^ I am NOT an intended math or science major. I want to do International Relations and Law (or something to do with Social Sciences.)

Summers:

After 9th grade - Accelerated one week program at Oakland Community College (nanotech, robotics, english, cad drawing)

After 10th - Summer School (not because I failed, because I didn't have enough room in my schedule for a required class) - Health - A+.
Also set up for the conference our club hosted in October, speaking to administration, businesses, and potential keynote speakers (war veterans, politicians, etc.)

After 11th - Law Internship; International Relations Program at American University (in Washington DC).

Columbia is my dream. Note that I am applying Early Decision so I have a better chance. Thanks for reading, what are my chances??

looks formidable
just get something around 2200+ or even 2100+ and you’ll be a perfect candidate

Yours stats are great! Although admission to columbia is not a garuntee, you definitely stand a good chance.

 • you dont really need to retake the SAT since your ACT scores are good enough.

But one more thing - apply ED to columbia only if youre 100% sure you love the place. Dont fall for it only because of NYC. And, dont think getting in ED would be easier.

Thanks. Rest assured, I have visited the campus and found all of the information to determine that this school is definitely my top choice.

Regarding the idea that getting in ED is easier, I was just going off of the fact that Regular admission is around 9% acceptance, whereas ED is around 23%

ED includes all recruited athletes, minorities, legacy, and the super super connected kids. RD is everyone.
