^yes, but it depends how competitive of a school the OP wants to get into... Obviously, if (s)he wanted to go to the top 10, a 3.5 would not be the OP's greatest asset.

This is ridiculous. The problem is that these types of people see the crazy high test scores on this site and think they will amount to nothing if they don't have a 2370. I once thought this way. "Oh no! If I don't get into Harvard, I will be a complete failure!" Trust me, 1,000 Harvard grads per year aren't the only ones who will succeed. Sure, I'm going to apply to a Georgetown or Carnegie Mellon. But s h i t, if I don't get in, I will be very happy at Penn State. My cousin's company actually prefers to hire PSU grads over CMU grads, because they tend to have better communication skills. A name can only take you so far.

Yeah seriously. Don't psych yourself out. You are not doomed to commuinity college - go pick up Princeton Review's Best 361 colleges book and take a look at the stats of the colleges in that book. You are not doomed to community college. I can't believe you would even think that. Pick yourself up. You got this.

Forget Starbucks. Forget NYU. How about CSU Chico?

no wonder you hate math and science.
