I'm Number one in my class out of 700 and received a 2270 on my SAT. (680 in math 800 verbal 790 writing). But I received a 2090 previously.. will that hurt me?

I'm President of our Student Council.
I volunteer at 2 places.
I do Badminton and Karate (not competitively for the latter just classes).
I received the NCTE award-- how prestigious is that?
I'm in math team and a volunteer club.

I wrote my essay on living next to a mentally challenged person and how they affected me.
I got deferred from Columbia too.

Very good chance at the California schools. Brown will be a bit more difficult than Cornell but I think your class rank, coupled with some impressive ECs, may push you over the top, imo. Good luck!!1

California resident, then you’re in at UCLA/UCB without a doubt. Cornell is good to go, and Brown is very possible. Colubia? You don’t standout too much unless you’re being modest per your academic accomplishments. Yeah…#1 and solid SAT’s, but to a degree that’s the norm for Ivy League applicants, National Merit? National recognition?

I say you’re a strong applicant. UCs = definitely. Cornell is good, but it’s ivy. Brownis accepting less people this year, so idk. However, you’re DEFINITELY an applicant for consideration.

You’re in without a doubt in my mind to all the UCs.
The UCLA/UCB will be a bit of a toss up, but that’s because they’re always hella weird with who they take. 80% of getting into both though
