I was wondering if someone could tell me what my chances of getting into Cornell are. This is really the only selective school I’m shooting for, mostly because I have already gotten really good scholarship offers from schools in my state. I plan to major in animal science and then go on to veterinary.
Here is a little about me:
GPA: 4.0 and numerically I have a 97.8 but by the end of the semester I should have a 98.
Class rank: 3 out of 68
ACT: 31
I have only taken one AP class because my school doesn’t “technically” offer them and I didn’t know we had the option to take them until this semester. I have taken over a years worth of college courses and also have advanced math and science. I was an officer in HOSA and won first place in the regional math competition in my area. Other than that, I don’t really have any extracurriculars. I have tutored peers and younger students of all different ages in almost every subject. I have volunteer hours at nursing homes and I received my CNA at 16 so I have also worked in nursing homes.
I know resume isn’t exactly the strongest, but I would just like to know if it would be a waste of my time to even apply. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances? Thanks in advance!
