Chances at Davis?

<p>I was wondering what are my chances at Davis. </p>

<p>GPA is quite low, </p>

<p>About a
~3.1 unweighted (2 C’s sophomore year :frowning: what a mistake – )
~3.3 weighted</p>

French Language (5)
Spanish Language (4)</p>

~Freshman Year: French 5AP
~Junior Year: Spanish 4AP
~Senior Year: Spanish Literature 5AP, Psychology AP</p>

<p>If it can help/counts for anything, 4.4 GPA 1st semester Senior Year</p>

<p>Special Talent:
Photography (4-5 years)
Regional Awards received</p>

<p>*Internship in Psychology at a Children’s Clinic (11th grade)</p>

<p>*Educational and Cultural immersion Program in Spain (12th grade)</p>

<p>*Track and Field (10th grade)</p>

<p>*Cheerleading (11th grade)</p>

<p>*Minimal work experience</p>

<p>That’s all I can think of… no leadership really, but other good points? hopefully it makes up for it. </p>

<p>My essays were pretty good. I wrote about how my interest for languages came about, and my passion for photography.</p>

<p>do you know what your UC GPA is? are you a Cali resident?</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure that is my UC GPA... my regular gpa (unweighted) is a 3.26</p>

<p>Not good at all I hate to say... you're more of a fit at Merced/Riverside, those are still great schools though!!</p>

<p>I did not apply to those schools, I applied to UCSC and everywhere else. Chances are I will get into at least 1 or 2 of the 6.</p>

<p>you have a great GPA for 1st semester senior year... unfortunately, the UCs won't look at that. why is it low for the other years? is it for a reason that you may have addressed in your application?</p>

<p>You have strong SAT IIs, don't lose hope. And you seem to be fluent in French, Spanish, and English. That might be your special hook. Good luck.</p>
