chances at deerfield, st. paul's, or hotchkiss?

hey there. i was just wondering where i stand on, and wanted to hear some feedbacks. feel free to post whatever you feel.

clarinet - 5 years
- first chair clarinet player at my city youth orchestra

student council
- treasurer for both freshmen and sophomore year

i don't know what else to put on here....
well im fairly sure the rec's would be fabulous
and i've been getting A's in my classes.

day or boarding?

SSAT is good. Grades are average, classes show you're smart. However, if you want to get into HS, DA, and SPS 11th grade, you'll need more ECs. Your current ones are good, however, you may want to add some sports or something similar. Good luck. :)

classicgirll - boarding.

ThatsHowIRoll - thanks for the adivce. i actually have more ec's but i just didn't list it on the board.

Your SSAT looks really good!, and you look like your involved in a lot of ec's which is also really good. have you already had your interview?

yeaup. i can't say whehter i did good or bad, but i can say that it was an interesting conversation and i told my interviewer everything i had planned. it went well overall.
and thanks!

your overall ssat was good but was it a big split. ie... 99 99 65? this can be a bit set back.

nope the SSAT's were actually really well balanced out.

93% on verbal
92% on math
93% on reading

You will get in if they need a clarinet player for the band.
Otherwise, they are looking for athletes that can come in and be immediate impact players to fill in holes on their teams at your grade level. St. Paul's football especially.

Lol you wont get into SPS just becuz your a football player. No amount of football players will help that team.

lawl. sorry guys footballs not my sport, although i like to play it just for fun with my friends.
and thanks for the feedbacks

oh wow, i just realized i listed art history twice under my classes.
i accidentally listed art history twice and not my other class, world history. yeap

HA! Mpics you may very well be right. But, they do have a new AD/Head Football Coach...who is an Admissions player.:)
I wish them all the best.

I told my interviewer I would consider playing football when I got there even tho they suck. And he said I shouldn't waste my time lol

is athletics at st. paul's really that bad? or is it just football?

Mpciz, I have a really, really hard time believing he actually said that...

Well your strong performance at speech and debate will certainly be a huge advantage at Hotchkiss - the perennial powerhouse debate team. PM me - i'm on the debate team I can tell you what you need to know.

Lol I really don't care if u believe me or not istoleyournose.

mpicz, I thought you were a soccer player? Maybe that's why you would be wasting your time.

hey guys no need to start a verbal fight here...
well, im not sure what to believe about st. paul's athletics, besides that they have very good facilities, primarily because i don't know much info. behind st. paul's athletics program.
im sure they have a really good hockey team and crew team though.

i thought st. paul's was an athletic school
