I am entering my junior year in HS and would like to know my chances of getting in from out of state.
Unweighted GPA- 3.98
Weighted- 6.22
I haven’t taken my SATs or ACTs yet.
I want to major in biology and pursue a career in the medical field.
I have shown interest and have been shadowing surgeons at MGH.
I’ve always taken honors classes and will be taking two APs this year as well as loading up on sciences and maths.
I take part in lots of extra curricular activities
What are my chances/ what can I do to improve them??
Your grades are obviously fine. 2 AP classes as a junior is not a lot, but if that’s all you can take, it’s okay. No one here can really give you a fair reading on admission, especially this early. To improve your chances, focus on 1 or 2 extracurriculars that offer you the chance to take real leadership or pursue something in depth. Quality over quantity. Essays and recommendations will make a big difference too.
You’ve provided enough objective information to say you’ve done a good job on #2 below. I have no clue on the rest at this point…

Good luck.
How do you have a 6.22 GPA as an incoming junior?
