Chances at Duke

AP US History (5)
Taking AP Literature this year

No great ECs, but I had an engineering internship a couple summers ago and I'm doing dual enrollment this year because my high school doesn't have many AP classes.

Thanks

Duke is a reach for anyone but it’s reachable if you apply to do engineering in ED.

RD: I don’t see it happening.
ED: It might happen.

Well, I’m not sure ED is such a great idea, since I’m not sure about the financial aid package I’d get, and I’m not filthy rich. And I’m definitely not applying to engineering

From the information available, it doesn’t look very bright.

I do know that Duke loves “rural vals”, though, so maybe you do have a chance. But if you did get accepted, I wonder if your education has prepared you for the hard work that a Duke education entails.

So the implication is that other colleges don’t require hard work? Interesting point of view. As I said, I’m taking dual enrollment classes at a university right now, which I believe prepares me quite handsomely for college work

Duke is always a reach good luck though! ED will def help
