Chances at Duke?

Hey guys, so I was wondering if any of you could help evaluate my chances at getting into Duke (I LOVVVEE THE SCHOOOOL!). In terms of grades, I have a solid 4.0 unweighted (our school doesn't weigh our grades). My SAT I score is a 2280 along with the following SAT IIs: Math II: 790, Biology M: 750, Physics: 700 (Yea, I failed). I took 5 APs my junior year, and self-studied for two of them since our school would not allow us to double-science. I took AP U.S. History (5), AP Biology (5, self-studied), AP Psychology (5, self-studied), AP English Composition and Language (4), and AP Calculus BC (5). In terms of programs outside of school, I qualified for Johns Hopkins University's SET program (I'm not too sure on the stats), and I went to the Young Scholars' Program @ UC Davis (a research summer residency). I'm also heavily engaged in speech and debate (our school's nationally ranked as top tier in competition), but I've only gotten regional awards (haven't competed at the state or national level :(...). So what do you think are my chances at my dream schooool?

Thanks for even reading my post! XD

Scores and grades are very solid- but everyone whos applying to Dukes are.

Do you have any more EC’s besides Debate? Also, any accomplishments and awards besides regional debate ones? Maybe just post some more info about yourself and people could chance you better

^The majority of people who apply to Duke don’t have 2280+ NCboy, I’m sorry.

Right… people look at the freshman profile and extrapolate that data onto the applicant pool. The SAT score of the accepted students are obviously going to be much higher than that of the entire applicant pool.

But that’s not to say you don’t have competition.

Mmmm… I’ve been chairing debate, so pretty much helping to instruct and coach all varsity and novice debate members. I also won an award at the Synopsys Science Faire. I have numerous awards within Model United Nations too, such as 3rd place (out of 60) in the WHO committee at Stanford Model United Nations and Best Delegate at the UC Davis MUN.

Does that help?
