I'm taking the SAT on Saturday again, hopefully I'll boost my CR grade to the low 600's. Be blunt with me, thanks.

it's critical you break 600 on CR and writing, while not the most important, should raise about 80 pts if possible... its not a shoe in but you have a good shot if you raise your boards

when i said you should raise 80 pts i was referring to the writing section.
also if you do well at least first semester (try very hard for straight A's), you'll show the college you're still improving over time and they'll think you'll even continue that trend in their college.

Wait, 80 points on writing? I'm mainly focused on reading, since writing isn't as important. And I'm a junior now, so do you mean straight A's first quarter of senior year(High School) or first semester of college when I'm in? Next year I'm taking 3 APs and a Syracuse Project Advance course, and I'm going to work my ass off for straight A's first and second quarter.

I looked at the avg. scores for Emerson, and if you could improve 80 pts on writing (about 7 more questions right) you'd be very competitive for that section... secondly, break 600 in CR- thats huge.. but ya you're def right, writing isn't as important so it's not really a big deal- keep focusing on CR

and I meant straight A's first 2 qtrs (until you hear back) in your senior year, not in college.
