Okay, let me offer you a word of advice. Your chances are not as terrible or impossible as you may think. If you really want to go to Fordham email them and show them that it is your first choice, just show them interest. HEOP will help you, don't let your hopes down. Trust me it can happen! Good luck!

Consider applying to some out of state schools. In California, you should consider Santa Clara University, Loyola Marymount, & University of the Redlands. In the East, consider Fairfield University, Univ. of Scranton & Providence College. Indiana University is a great choice for you, and Fordham is a possibility as well. You may also want to consider Loyola in Chicago. CUNY is also a great option for you if you want to stay in the city.

thanx icy but i dont want to go to cuny and i dont have the money to pay for some of those school.. i wanted to go 2 maybe some state schools or some good business schools but idk what to do to help my chances.

any idea what i should do to help my chances?

i figured that since i have heop it will at least help me with my tuition for fordham and i have a program that would help me pay for my tuition but itll be for only schools in the new york area

well, i had the same GPA but higher SATs and was rejected from fordham. try to improve your GPA in your remaining time as a junior and aim higher for the SATs.

As a hispanic female, if you could bump your SATs up to about 1100 (M/V) or so, I think yoiu woulf have a GREAT shot at Fordham. Even tho it is geting tougher to get into Fordham, they are lookkng to expand thie diversity, and you have a good story to tell. Work hard this year and over the summer. Nor reason you can't up your SAT enough to get into Fordham.

Raerae, I don't know how these schools are business wise, but Manhattan College, Hofstra, Suny Stony Brook and Seton Hall are all pretty close to NYC if you want to be near family. Stony has train service near campus which runs to NYC.

Applying to some out-of-state private schools wouldn't hurt you. As a Hispanic female immigrant myself, I found that I got much better financial packages (I turned down loans in all cases) at private out-of-state schools than I ended up getting from the in-state publics. I would definitely suggest retaking the SATs, though, and if you have two essays to write, make sure one highlights your personal experience, and also make sure to make your ECs stand out (possibly by talking about the one about which you're most passionate.) Cheers.
