Can u guys please evaluate my chances at GT, UTa ,and Texas A & M

you have pretty similar stats to most ppl I hear who get into UT, so think you'll be ok

you should be fine w/ Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech - match
UT-Austin - slight reach because out of state is competitive
Texas A&M - match

BTW - I am also applying to UT Austin and Georgia Tech for engineering with similar stats (same GPA, higher SATs), hope we both get in, man.

yeah i really hope so. thx alot for your inputs

anyone else?

UT is a reach, your GPA and SATs are too low for out of state

do u know what percent they accept out of state?

I'm applying to A&M and GA Tech too...I have better SAT and lower GPA...3.3, 1540...I'm in-state for GA Tech though...

i am not sure of the percent they accept out of state...i just remember I saw this primetime or something on tv about UT and their admission system. They basically said that theyre interested in mainly those at the top of their classes with the highest SATs. So if your in the top 5% of your class, that should help you A LOT, your SAT is not bad but not secure for out of state

UT is definitely a reach. Even kids in state that aren't auto admit usually need pretty high test scores. You should be fine w/A&M, although, unless you're very conservative and enjoy football, I wouldn't recommend going there. Thats just me, though.

Actually, I take that back about A&M. Some people don't fit the profile I gave above and still love it. UT might not be a reach, I just talked to someone in-state who got in with similar test scores and wasn't auto-admit. Depending on recs/essays, I think you have a shot.

your only auto admit if your in the top 10% of your graduating class if your in state
