I’ve took 1 AP freshman and sophomore year, 3 classes but 4 exams jr year, and plan on taking 4 next year

2 years of HS volleyball (freshman and sophomore)

1 year of tennis (JV2)
National Honor Society: 11&12
Journalism: 9-12
Interact Club: 10-12
FCCLA: 11&12
A few other clubs for 11&12
Volunteering: 100+ hours so far through clubs and volunteering at a hospital
Chinese School since I was in kindergarten
Hostess at restaurant
Leadership:
Captain of 14’s club team
Journalism Editor (maybe in chief idk yet)
Awards:
Superior rating at National High School Journalism Convention in Denver for write-off
Silver at FCCLA State
Also, my brother goes to Duke (Class of 16) if that changes anything

Columbia, WashU - Reaches because they are just simply hard to get into; you could very well get in
JHU, Northwestern - High Matches
Duke - High Match… if you applied ED I can imagine you getting in

You will need to read through the comments cause I got a 31 on ACT and I added some colleges (BostonU, UTAustin, Northeastern)

Duke and Columbia are your biggest reaches. I can see you getting off the wait-list at Columbia and being admitted to Duke if you apply ED but it won’t be easy.

You have a really good shot at Duke! Plus. Having siblings that attend does help (someone did get waitlisted even though her 2 siblings go to Duke, but she went to Cornell instead which isn’t all that bad)
Columbia and WUSTL are reaches, JHU low reach/match, Northwestern high match.
What you are majoring in may affect you also.
