I have a 3.73 weighted (=[) but should be applying with maybe a 3.9 weighted after I get some semester and online class grades in, with an 1170/1840 on the SAT, a 27 on the ACT, a 10 on both essays, and We The People: The Citizen and the Constitution competition Alumni status after going to the national competition (most probably aren't familiar with the competition but apparently its well respected amongst certain schools). I also live in miami, so that should help. So yeah, what are my chances? Thanks to anyone that responds. =]

it's pretty easy to get into FIU. you have good numbers so there's no doubt you'll be accepted.

No doubt you will get in. Im currently a sophomore at FIU and you cant believe how many retards from High School got into FIU. Cant wait to transfer. Its not a bad school though.

I got in but there are people discouraging me from attending there b/c I'm in the top 5% of my class with 1250/1870 on SATs.. should I consider UCF/USF.. I dont even know..

Luckycharms, I'm in the top 3% of my class and I most likely will go to FIU. I wouldn't listen to anyone. Go where YOU will be happy. If you try your hardest you will walk away with a great education no matter what school you attend.

Whats wrong with FIU??? doesnt have the prestige of the others... or maybe a few retards attend.. but the school is good, and its growing, the acceptance rate for 2007 was 32% or something which is right up there with other schools. I think FIU will be a great school in years to come

luckycharms1- Don't let anyone discourage you if you truly want to attend FIU. FIU is quite an underrated school. It may be young, but it's up and coming and growing. I've known a few people to go there and they all have had positive views for the school.
