Chances at getting into Brown as a transfer.

Current freshman at Muhlenberg college, want to transfer because I want more rigorous academics and a better theatre program, and I also just really don’t like the student body vibe here. The open curriculum is also a major factor in why Brown specifically. I’d be a Theatre major with a minor in Latin or Physics.

College GPA after one semester: 3.96 (my only A- was in a half-credit ballet class 8-| )

HS GPA: 3.78 unweighted (entirely honors and advanced classes, plus I was diagnosed with severe ADHD midway through and I had nearly straight As once I began being medicated)

ACT: 34

AP Calc: 5

Finalist for 3 writing awards at my high school

I was also a professional actress all throughout HS, multiple major roles in TV shows and indie films, as well as a lot of professional level theatre. I was cast in a few shows at Berg which is unusual for a freshman.

I volunteered in HS teaching Shakespeare to inner city kids in boston and volunteer now teaching devised theatre to inner city kids in allentown.

I have other extracurriculars too: I work for a major league baseball team during summers/breaks, ran a cake club throughout all of high school, have been dancing my whole life, founded a kazoo ensemble in high school (which I’m only mentioning in the apps for my quirkier schools, would Brown appreciate it?), and volunteered at an animal shelter for a year. I also interned at a comedy theatre-- I’m really into comedy (sketch, improv, stand up, etc.) and would be involved in that scene at any school I end up at.

Chances? It’s my top choice currently.
